Questions bookkeepers ask first

Does my client's statement get uploaded?

No. Parsing, review and reconciliation run inside the desktop app. The only outbound request is a licence check before export, and it contains your licence key, machine id and page count — never statement content.

Can I use it while travelling without Wi-Fi?

Yes for importing, reviewing and fixing rows. Export needs one online check so a cancelled subscription cannot keep exporting.

What if QuickBooks says it cannot verify the financial institution?

Files are written with a fixed ORG and a 5-digit FID plus a generic INTU.BID, which QuickBooks Desktop accepts. You pick the matching account during import.
